Most students absolutely hate this topic, BUT I assure you telling time can also be fun! ⏰
⌚ 1. Draw a huge clock on the board and fill it in together with your students.
⌚ 2. Hand out the worksheet BINGO and have a little dictation. They have to listen to you and draw clock hands.
⌚ 3. Play this awesome game:

Kids have to stop the watch when it shows the right time. We had so much fun, cause you can speed it up as much as you want. 😅 If you use an interactive board, it's even more entertaining.
⌚ 4. Coconut mingling activity: 🥥 hand out one coconut clock and one worksheet with empty clocks to each student. Tell them that they now have to talk to each other and find out the time. ⏳ When they hear their partner's time, they have to draw clock hands in one of their clocks and write the name of this person next to it.
Watch the video of my class to grasp the idea better! 📹👇🏻
⌚ 5. Now after having run around, they are a tad tired. So let's calm them down by doing some teamwork writing. Hand out "Time" worksheets to each team and tell them, that they have to write down ✏ the time next to each clock and finish it up faster than other teams.
⌚ 6. Let's get back to speaking practice: "Just another day" worksheet. I cut it into two vertical halves, ✂ divided all students into pairs and told them to find out what time they do these activities. So one students goes: "What time do you wake up?" The other one says: 😴 "I usually wake up at 8:30am." The first one needs to fill in the clock according to this information. And on it goes.
⌚ 7. How about taking it to the next level? 😎 We're gonna talk about different Time zones and watch this video to understand the whole concept: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qybXrIPk0Hw
⌚ 8. Finally, I printed out a map 🌍 with different time zones and we made some calculations and predictions. They had to count what time it was in different parts of the world and guess what those nationalities must be doing at this moment.
E.g.: It's 7pm in Vietnam. What's the time in Australia now? 🌴 It's around 9 or 10 pm. What are they doing now? They are getting ready to go to bed.
